7 Fully Funded International PhD Scholarships at Technical University of Denmark

This article provides a review of the different scholarship opportunities available at the Technical University of Denmark.

The Technical University of Denmark

The Technical University of Denmark normally referred to as its initials DTU is a public technical university within Kongens, Lyngby which is north of the town of Copenhagen, Denmark. The institute was established in 1829 and has since then been providing outstanding technical degrees. The university is ranked highly amongst similar universities and is one of the best technical universities in the Nordic countries.

The PhD Scholarships

There are many opportunities for funding through the Technical University of Denmark. Each of these scholarship opportunities below are offered for doctoral applicants in three year programs at the technical institute.

2 X PhD Scholarships: Computer Simulation in 3D Structure Materials

Summary: The Physics Department at the university is pleased to offer two PhD scholarships for their computer simulation programs. The goal of these programs is to implement 3D technology to improve structural modelling.

Award: This program works with the Northwester University of Chicago which awards applicants with international experiences. All fees will be paid and applicants will be earning a salary (stipend).

Requirements:

  • Candidates have to have a master’s degree in engineering or material science
  • Must demonstrate adequate programming skills

2 X PhD Scholarships: Single Photon Modelling Sources Utilizing Model Methods

Summary: The DTU Photonics Engineering department at the university is pleased to offer two PhD scholarships for their design programs. The program focuses on the importance photons and their role in information technology and applications.

Award: Candidates will have all of their program fees paid and will be awarded a stipend for the duration of this three year program.

Development of Superior Quantum Dot Gain Materials for Wavelength Ranges

Summary: The Photonics Engineering department at the university is pleased to offer one PhD scholarship for their epitaxial quantum dot growth program. This scholarship is available for applicants that are ready to start in the fall semester. The focus of this scholarship is to develop an interdisciplinary experience for outstanding applicants.

Award: The program fees will be covered and candidates will be working on these projects for an annual stipend.

Deadline: The deadline for this scholarships is the 21st of September.

Marine Coastal Habitats

Summary: This scholarship is provided by the National Institute of Aquatic Resources. The intent of this program is to offer globalized information of freshwater and marine animals and their surrounding ecosystems.

Award: Program fees will be covered and candidates will be working on these research projects for an annual stipend.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a master’s degree in aquatic technology and science
  • Previous marine research experience

Environmental Aquatic Chemistry

Summary: This scholarships is provided through the National Institute of Aquatic Resources. This program takes a look at the role of dissolved organic matter and how it mixes with the aquatic environment causing organic carbon. It also takes a look at the global carbon cycle and how it effects the surrounding ecosystems.

Award: All program fees will be covered and applicants will work for an annual stipend.
