The University

PhD Scholarships and Programs: Cardiff School of Welsh and Cardiff Business School

Cardiff School of Welsh:

The Cardiff School of Welsh is a unique and dynamic school that conducts innovative and socially relatable research while working to deliver the highest quality of teaching. The School of Welsh holds the title of being one of the oldest departments at the university. The research conducted at the School of Welsh falls into a large variety of different studies from women’s studies to medieval poetry.

Value: PhD scholarships and funding are available because the institute attracts a large variety of funding to include some of the following: Arts and Humanities Research Council, the British Academy, The Economic and Social Research Council, the Leverhulme Trust, the British Council, and the EU. A small number of PhD scholarships known at that AHRC Postgraduate Studentships are being offered to applicants in Celtic Studies as well as Creative Writing.

The average amount awarded in these PhD scholarships is a minimum of £3,000 as well as waived tuition fees.

Duration: The duration for this program is for a maximum of three years in a full time degree program.Arrangements can be made for part time studies at the discretion of the university.

  • The applicant must provide English language proficiency scores
  • The applicant may be either of domestic or international student status

Cardiff Business School

The Cardiff Business School is one of the best business schools in Wales and the UK. The school has a global presence and reputation for producing only the best. The main goal of the school is to produce high quality research in business and management studies. The main studies at the business school include:

  • Marketing and Strategy
  • Logistics and Operations Management
  • Economics
  • Accounting and Finance
  • Human Resource Management

  • Applicants must accept a place to study at the schools before they will be considered for scholarships or other financial aid opportunities.
