The IMT or Institutions, Markets, Technologies, Institute for Advanced Studies is an institute based in Lucca, Italy. The PhD Program and PhD Scholarships
IMT is pleased to be able to offer 36 PhD scholarships for their prestigious PhD programs. IMT holds strict policies for admittance into either their PhD programs or their PhD scholarships. IMT strives to attract the brightest minds from around the world and will only accept the academic best into their PhD programs.
Value
These PhD scholarships are awarded to PhD candidates and allows for waived tuition fees regardless of student status as well as an annual stipend of €13,638.47. The annual stipend is intended towards the cost of living while undertaking studies.
Duration
The maximum duration of these PhD scholarships is for three full time academic years.
Eligibility: The applicant must have obtained a qualifying degree that allows them to participate in a doctoral program. Applicants who anticipate having obtained their qualifying degree before the commencement of the new doctoral program are welcome to apply. The school will wait for the complete academic records before rendering a final decision. The applicant must have accepted a place of study at the school. The applicant must provide sufficient evidence of proficiency in the English language if they are international students from countries where English is not their first language. The applicants are encouraged to learn Italian while studying at MIT so that they can make the most of the culture and surrounding area as possible. The applicants must have proof of academic excellence. Sufficient evidence of academic excellence will be determined by any honours that the applicant received while studying, any previous research publications that give the applicant credit, as well as previous academic transcripts. The applicant must provide at least two letters of recommendation from academic sources.
How to Apply
The applicant must successfully complete an application for enrollment at IMT. The selection process will be highly academic and all previous academic works will be taken into consideration. It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure that all the appropriate documentation makes it to the school for consideration. Regardless, the applicant must have completed at least four full academic years of university.
These PhD scholarships are intended to be available to the highest academically ranked students regardless of age, sex, gender, race, nationality, or religion.
