The University of East London is a public university situated in east London, England. The university is comprised of three different campuses spread out throughout London. The university was established in 1892 but did not gain university status until 1992. The University of East London is ranked respectably among both academic reviews and student satisfaction. The university sees an annual enrollment of over 28,000 students from over 120 different countries.

The PhD Scholarships

School of Health, Sports, and Bioscience– the School of Health, Sports, and Bioscience at the University of East London is offering PhD scholarships for their project Physical Activity, Health, and Well-Being. The project is geared towards understanding how age, gender, disabilities, and ethnicity all play a part in health inequalities and sports participation in the United Kingdom.

Award: These studentships offer an annual stipend of £15,863 as well as covers tuition fees for domestic applicants. International applicants are still eligible to apply for these scholarships. International applicants are responsible for the difference in tuition fees.

Duration: These scholarships last for a maximum duration of three years.

Eligibility:

  • The applicant must have outstanding academic history
  • The applicant must have excellent communication skills and be proficient in both written and oral English.
  • The applicant may use work experience in different communities

Institute for Health and Human Development- the Institute for Health and Human Development at the University of East London is offering PhD scholarships for their ongoing research project: Promoting a Healthy Start. The project is geared towards investigating different ways that community engagement and appropriate testing can improve outcomes and circumstances for both mothers and newborns. It follows both prenatal care and post natal care.

Award: These studentships offer an annual stipend of £15,863 as well as covers tuition fees for domestic applicants. International applicants are still eligible to apply for these scholarships. International applicants are responsible for the difference in tuition fees.

Duration: These scholarships last for a maximum duration of three years.

Eligibility:

  • The applicant must have outstanding academic history
  • The applicant must have excellent communication skills and be proficient in both written and oral English.
  • The applicant must be working towards the completion of a doctoral program and must be able to prepare and present their dissertation in a reasonable period of time.
  • The applicants are required to take on a maximum of six hours of academic activities weekly
  • The applicant must be prepared to travel and work with different institutes.

Institute for Health and Human Development- the Institute for Health and Human Development at the University of East London is offering PhD studentships for their ongoing research project: Developing a Health Care System Evaluation Model for Developing and Transitional Economies. The research project focuses on the lack of a health care evaluation model. It overviews different evaluations of different health care systems that have not kept up with the developing world. It also views the lack of health care models in developed counties as well as underdeveloped countries and works to address this issue. The final goal for this project is to find a health care model that can be implemented as the basis for health care globally.
