The University of Western Australia is a public research university located within Perth, Western Australia. The university is currently the oldest university in Western Australia. The University of Western Australia was established in 1911 and has since then been providing the world with outstanding degrees. The University of Western Australia sees a yearly enrollment of around 22,000 applicants.

The PhD Scholarships

Scholarship Summary: There are many PhD scholarships available for candidates that are choosing to pursue their education through the University of Western Australia. These highly competitive scholarships are awarded based off of outstanding academic merit and are awarded to highly qualified applicants.

Number of Scholarships: Currently, the university is pleased to offer 10 prestigious PhD scholarships for its students. These scholarships are offered through two prestigious departments within the university.

Scholarships Award: Each of these PhD scholarships offers full tuition fee waivers for the domestic student tuition rate and a generous annual stipend in the amount of $28,892. The stipend is intended to be put towards the cost of living and other necessary expenses. International applicants are encouraged to apply and will have the difference between the tuition rates to finance on their own or through additional loans or PhD scholarships.

Scholarship Duration: These scholarships are set to be funded for up to four years of full time doctoral studies.

The Centre for Evolutional Biology: The Centre for Evolutionary Biology is pleased to offer two of these PhD scholarships.

  • Experimental Evolutionary Thresholds: The deadline for this PhD scholarship is the 3rd of December.

Scholarship Requirements:

  • Applicants must be able to speak, write, and understand the English language.
  • Applicants must have a first class undergraduate degree or a master’s degree in a relative degree subject as these PhD scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement.

Scholarship Deadlines

Unless previously stated before all of these PhD scholarships accept applications throughout the entire year. Applicants that are wishing to be considered for an upcoming semester must ensure that they supply all the information needed as early as they can in order to be considered for a position.
