The University of Liverpool, or Lpool, is one of the “red brick” public universities in England that was established in the 1800s. Specifically, the university was established as a university college in 1881. It is one of the great institutions that pioneered intensive research among its faculties, specifically:

PhD Scholarships

PhD Scholarship Overview: There are 24 PhD scholarships currently offered at the world-renowned University of Liverpool. A number of them cater to international, EU and UK students alike and provide research opportunities sought-after by many professionals worldwide. Applicants go through a thoughtful selection process and only the best qualified to the position are considered.

PhD Scholarship Awards: The PhD scholarships are not self-funded thus each of them are able to assist students cover their tuitions fees and at the same time provide them a generous stipend every year. Stipends range from £10,000 to £13,863 depending on the postgraduate program applied to. Due to the limited number of positions available, the selection process is competitive and only candidates who are able to comply with the requirements are entertained.

PhD Scholarship Requirements:

  • An honors degree of at least 2:1 in the field appropriate to the program
  • Good English communication skills reflected on an IELTS score of not less than 6.5
  • Previous laboratory experience or research work on the field is advantageous
