The University of York is delighted to announce the availability of 43 PhD scholarships. These PhD scholarships are offered through numerous different department and faculties that are available through the University of York.

Award

Each of these PhD scholarships are fully funded PhD scholarships. This means that the scholarships will cover the domestic tuition rates. International applicants are still welcome to apply if they are able to demonstrate the ability to cover the difference between domestic and international tuition rates. The scholarships also offer stipends in the amount of £13,726 annually.

Duration

These PhD scholarships last for a maximum duration of three years.

Requirements:

  • The applicant must have an upper second class or first class honours degree in a relative subject to the research project that they are wishing to be considered for.
  • Applicant have to be able to communicate effectively. Applicants who do not speak English as their first language they are required to provide language assessment scores.
  • Applicants are required to submit research proposals clearly illustrating and outlining their research intentions.
  • Applicant must provide at least two reference.
  • Applicants are required to submit a personal statement or essay illustrating their reasons for pursing these degree programs.

Deadline

All of these PhD scholarships accept applications throughout the year.
