The university is amongst one of the largest population wise with an annual enrollment of over 18,000 students.
The PhD Scholarships
The Swansea University is delighted to announce the availability of 6 PhD scholarships. All six of these PhD scholarships are conducted through two different departments at the Swansea University.
The Departments
These departments are:
- The College of Medicine
- The School of Management.
Award
Each of these PhD scholarships is fully funded. This means that the scholarships cover the full tuition fees for the domestic tuition rate as well as offer a generous stipend in the amount of £13,863 annually. International applicants are still eligible to apply if they can demonstrate their ability to cover the additional difference between the international and domestic tuition rates.
Duration
These PhD scholarships are intended to last a duration of three years.

Each of these PhD scholarships is attached to specific research projects. Recipients of these PhD scholarships are required to work on the research project that the scholarship is attached to. Below are the research projects as well as their departments that they are linked to:
The College of Medicine
- Population Genomics of Tuberculosis Located in Wales:
o Requirement: An additional requirement of this PhD project is that applicants must be able to speak Welsh as well as English.

The School of Management
- Internet Advertisement and Marketing:
o Description: This scholarship is intended for applicants interested in advertisement and marketing.
o Deadline: The deadline for this scholarship is the 31st of July.
- Marketing and Consumer Behaviors:
o Description: This scholarship is intended for applicants interesting in the consumer behavior aspect of marketing.
o Deadline: The deadline for this scholarship is the 31st of July.
- Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibilities:
o Description: This scholarship is intended for applicants interested in social responsibilities and sustainability of corporations.
o Deadline: The deadline for this scholarship is the 31st of July.
- Banking and Stock Market Instability:
o Description: This scholarship is intended for applicants that are interested in exploring instabilities in the stock market as well as banking.
o Deadline: The deadline for this scholarship is the 31st of July.
- Strategic Sales and Marketing:
o Description: This scholarship explores different avenues of marketing and sales.
o Deadline: The deadline for these scholarship is the 31st of July.
Requirements:
- The applicant must have received upper second class or a first class honours degree, or a master’s degree.
- Applicants from countries where English is not their first language will be required to submit language assessment scores as evidence of their proficiency in the English language. The scholarship for the College of Medicine requires applicants also be able to speak Welsh.
