15 Fully Funded International PhD Studentships at Kingston University UK For 2014-2015

Kingston University is a public university positioned in the Kingston area of London, England, UK. There are two main campuses placed in both Kingston and in Roehampton. The Kingston University obtained university status in 1992 but was originally established in 1899 under the name Kingston Technical Institute. The school has consistently been ranked well for academic performance and student approval. The Kingston University registers over 23,000 students yearly.

The PhD Scholarships: PhD Studentships

The Kingston University is pleased to announce the limited availability of some of their PhD scholarships which are also referred to as their PhD Studentships. The Faculty of Science, Engineering, and Computing through the Kingston University is offering up to 15 full time PhD scholarships or PhD studentships for qualifying candidates ready to begin studies this upcoming October. These PhD scholarships are proposed to be awarded to the highest standing applicants. A list of potential research projects is listed on the school’s main website. Applicants are always encouraged to recommend their own research projects to the Director of Studies at the Kingston University.

Award: These PhD scholarships or studentships offer competent applicants a waived tuition fee at the domestic rate. International applicants are still eligible to apply for the studentship but they must be able to prove that they are able to secure funding for the difference between domestic and international tuition fees. These studentships also offer an annual allowance of £14,400.

Duration: The maximum duration of these PhD studentships is for a maximum of three years.

Eligibility: The applicant may be either domestic, exchange student or an international student. Applicants comprehend that the scholarships cover tuition for domestic rates and any additional fees are at the expense of the applicant. International applicants must show evidence of English language ability if they come from countries where English is not their primary language. International applicants must be in agreement with the terms of their visas at all times during the extent of their doctoral studies at the Kingston University. The applicant must have strong academic background. The applicant is expected to agree to an offer of study from the Kingston University and be ready to begin doctoral studies this upcoming October.

How to Apply:

Applicants must apply online using the school’s postgraduate application. The applicants must deliver a current academic resume or CV. This includes a cover letter that briefly states the title of the research project that you are wishing to apply for a studentship. International applicants must deliver copies of the English language qualification scores. The applicant will arrange for at least two letters of recommendation from previous academic scholars. Candidates that have successful applications and meet all of the eligibility requirements will be short listed for interviews. Domestic applicants will have face to face interviews while international applicants will be subjected to video interviews conducted through Skype.
